This 4-hour online program fulfills the state requirement for adult drivers who need to complete an abbreviated driver’s education course after an unsuccessful road test attempt. It’s designed to help you strengthen your understanding of:

• Defensive driving strategies
• Vehicle control and safe driving habits
• Common mistakes made during the driving test
• Techniques for maneuverability and parking

By the end of this course, you’ll be more confident, informed, and ready to pass your driving test on your next attempt.

In addition to completing this 4-hour online course, the Ohio BMV requires every adult student to complete one of the following behind-the-wheel training options before retaking the driving test:

Option 1:

✅ Complete 4 hours of in-car driving lessons with a state-certified driving instructor at an approved driving school.

Option 2:

✅ Complete 24 hours of supervised driving practice with a licensed driver age 21 or older.

• You may drive a maximum of 4 hours per day.
• You must complete and notarize the 24-Hour Driving Affidavit before returning to the BMV.

After both the online course and behind-the-wheel requirement are finished, you’ll be eligible to retake your Ohio BMV driving test.

Once you successfully complete the course, your certificate of completion will be instantly available in your Certify2Drive student portal. You can print or download it anytime to present at your driving school or local BMV office.
